I'm looking to get in some trail riding next season...I used to do a lot of mountain biking in these forests so I'd like to get back out there on the TW and mix it up a bit, nothing crazy...I don't have any trail riding buddies around here and I won't trail ride alone (had some spills on mountain bikes)...have to buy a better skid plate before I do though...if anyone else is interested let me know...I'd like to get up to Freetown since it's close, has 25 miles of trails and I'm the most familiar with it (although it's been quite a while)

if anyone else in New England wants to do some riding just post up

Subscribed.... Western, MA (Greenfield).
I used to live in Greenfield...I think 1964 to 1969. Lived on James Street...went to Center Street School.
Had a good time there as a kid. Moved to Somerset, Ma when I was 12 years old.

Mrs Trip and I rode the Trans-Mass Trail last summer up to Greenfield. Can you identify this bridge?

(Its over the Deerfield River)

Howdy, I'm in NH lakes region during the summer, in Sudbury, MA Nov through June. At 74, my trail riding/enduro days are pretty well over. Was a NETRA B rider at one point. Now I dig the many dirt roads and tar twisties around Squam Lake. Just got a 2014 Dub last month and have been busting my chops to get it broken in so I can work the motor. A few years ago I rode a BMW R100 G/G, but the TW seems just right for me now.

Hi Will!
Welcome aboard! Here's a couple of photos from your neck of the woods! Mrs Trip and I rode through the area on our tour of NE and Qc in July. You've got some nice riding around there!

That's Center Sandwich, where Sandwich Notch Rd meets 113.

Welcome, pizzaman. We try to ride most of the year here in Rhode Island...as long as its above freezing. We're sending 2 of our TW's to Tucson next Friday...will be riding southern Az and Mexico in January.
Here's a photo overlooking Rangely Lake. Not Downeast, but hey, its Maine.

Yeah, we should do some riding based out of Pachaug state forest in Ct.
We camped the night before at Rangely Lake. When we arrived, the campground was full, so the rangers let us have the vacant group shelter, off by itself from the rest of the campground.
We rode in through the woods a little ways to get there. They really went out of their way to be helpful to us on the bikes.
They even brought us some firewood by ATV. What a great place with awesome people!! I hope to get back up there this summer.

You are in my stomping grounds, beautiful spot.
