Seeing that the 241 is probably the most popular choice right now and really wanting to fit in, I installed a Dunlop 606! I have this tire on the back of my KLR and love it for off road stuff. Hooks up good and seems to last and does OK on the road. Comparing the back of the KLR to front of the TW is like comparing apples to bacon, but I'm hoping the off road part of my riding will benefit from the aggressive knobs in the goopy mud we have around here. If I lose a little on the street in exchange, it will be worth the trade off for me. I didn't buy the TW for its street prowess even though I do commute with it on regular basis.

This tire has stiffer sidewalls, comparing it to the 244 I just took off, and the weight seemed close between the 2 using the 1 tire in each hand weighing method. A hot lap around the house in dew soaked grass seemed good. Even with the wet grass, it took a fair amount of front brake to lock it up. Tomorrow we'll take a ride to work and see how it does on pavement. I have it at 15 psi for now and it took 1 3/4 ounces to balance.

Forgot to mention, 10,500 miles on the 244. Still legal, barely, but the off road riding was starting to suffer.

Got a little pavement time on the 606, so far I like it better than the 244 on pavement. The 244 at around 50 mph, the front end would feel a little imprecise. At higher speeds a slow head wobble would start. Nothing crazy, just a slow back and forth motion. It really didn't bother me since I rarely drive the TW that fast. The 606 feels much more planted at the higher speeds. Had it up to 72 mph on a downhill section and still felt good. Tried some low speed panic stops and it would not lock up easily. I really thought this tire would be really sucky on pavement. Can't wait to try it off road.

I had the 606 on my front and changed it out to the 241. Better on loose gravel roads, everything else off road is a wash. I don't ride enough on road to tell much but i agree the 606 felt really good for the limited amount on road i did with it.
