Hey everyone,

New guy from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Joined this forum a year and a bit ago after my interest was peaked (perked?) in TW200's, but this will be my first post. Started riding 16 years ago on an '87 Honda CB250 custom, then owned two Honda CBR 600RR's ('03 & '08) after that. About 2 years ago, life happened and it was time to buy a ring, so sold bike, got married, bought a house, yadda yadda yadda. Fast forward to this past weekend, June 2013, with my 30th birthday coming up in a week, my dad "gifts" me his 2007 TW200! Amazing gift!

Really looking forward to getting to know the Tdub. I was always interested in the Deus style TW's, but for now, I will be using it to teach the wife how to ride, and then just enjoy being back on two!

Also looking forward to reading all the great info on this site!

Take care!

Noob -there is a group - The Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (CVMG) that meets every second Tuesday at Mystic Java on 8th St., 3929 8 St E in Saskatoon. They are mostly very seasoned riders and heavily into older and new bikes.

They are meeting again on July 2 - I have been there for the last four coffee klatches and seen a TW run past on 8th Street.

If you are around on the second drop in - tell them Bert sent you - a great bunch of guys with some wonderful iron to see and share.

They will be interested in your TW

Subject: Riverhurst / Hitchcock Tour - Sunday, June 23rd

Hi Orville,

Back by popular demand is the Riverhurst ride. This year the ride will again include stops at Riverhurst's F.T.Hill Museum and lunch at the Highwy 42 Cafe, as well as an optional stop at the Hitchcock Hideaway in Birsay. So, here are the particulars:

- Sunday, June 23rd tour date

- 8:30 am rendezvous departure time from the Grasswood Esso. just south of Saskatoon on Hwy 11

- Google Map tour route link:

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=205249461324334541851.0004df5b21c84bb97c3c1&msa=0

- Arrive in Riverhurst and view F.T.Hill Museum at about 11:00 am

- F.T. Hill Museum fee, $3 / person

- Lunch at Highway 42 Cafe in Riverhurst at about noon

- Riverhurst Ferry crossing at 1:00 pm

- Visit the Hitchcock Hideaway Cabin near Birsay at about 2:00 pm (Optional)

- Hitchcock Cabin guided tour fee, by donation

- Return to Saskatoon via Gardiner Dam

Please note that the Hitchcock Hideaway Cabin tour will be optional depending on road conditions and specific interest shown by the group attending this ride. There is 13 kms of gravel from Birsay to the Cabin, for example.

With exception of the Hitchcock Hideaway, this tour will follow the same route taken on our ride last fall. Here's link a to last year's slideshow, as a bit of a promotional preview :

Look forward to seeing many of you out for this great ride. As always, should you have any questions, give me a call.

Cheers

Bob
