Hello fella's. Name's Boedy. I've done all sorts of bike restorations and truly custom builds over the years. Recently I have been seeking a good dual sport to play with. I had a "Postie bike" (Honda CT90) last year and did a few mods to the seat and foot pegs to allow my "6 2" frame a small amount of comfort, however, it was not enough. Also, the fact that a strong headwind would slow me down to 40mph really sucked. I loved several things about the bike though- it was amazingly fun to ride for one. The old saying that it is more fun to go fast on a slow bike than it is to go slow on a fast bike is completely true. It was pretty good as a low speed trail machine that took me and my gear fishing.
That's why I am interested in the tw200. Seems like with some minor mods I can make the dimensions fit my frame, It'll have a small amount of gittyup, it is great on trails, it is ultra reliable, and I can attach racks for my gear.
So..... now that you know a little about me and why I am interested in a TW, why am I posting this in the classified section?
Well, I need to find a bike. I've been searching all the different sights and I see them, but not many. Also, what I want might be something that is just laying around in a barn. I live in Atlanta Georgia, but I can travel a couple hundred miles. What I want is a real project or simply something cheap. I don't want to spend more than $1,000 on a bike. I don't need seat, tank, plastics, or even a running engine. But I do need a title. I could pay a little more if it brings a nice bike, but ultimately, a project would be better for me.
let me know if you guys can come up with something.
Thanks,
Boedy
