No my parents bought my first car. But I bought my first bike. I bought a 2008 Yamaha TW 200 with 892 miles on it at purchase time. It now has 1080 from riding. What are some must do mods for this bike? A local dealer is very far away, but my father can do some jobs like changing sprockets, replace chain etc. I bought a Vector Digital Speedometer/Tachometer, its in the mail now. Will give it the 21st century look instead of the older speedometer type. So must do mods? Upgrade chain? Yes no. Sorry I'm only twenty, and trying to learn.

An o-ring chain is a nice start. Take your time read over the other postings. Once you start modding it can get a little out of control. Currently waiting for my swingarm extension to be finshed. LOL

Lot's of knowledge on this site, and helpful people. Enjoy

So must do mods?
There aren't any must do mods. They are mostly convenience mods, like wider footpegs or a CycleRack or the Stern's seat pad. Your TW is perfectly rideable the way it is. Enjoy the bike until you feel the need to make changes.

I've had the bike for a month now and it's great the way it is I agree. I did however opt for a Vapor Digital Speedometer/Tach, to replace the classic setup. I also had them lower it aprox two inches being I'm on the short end. Now I'm deff more comfortable being flat footed on the bike.
