Greetings:

New TW200 owner and new member of the Forum.

I live in Central Minnesota. I just sold my 2008 Rokon Trailbreaker to buy my 2006 TW 200.

I bought the Rokon brand new, but only used it for two weekends a year deer hunting. I figured I'd sell it and

get something I could get more off road use out of.

I found the 2006 for sale on Craiglist, it only had 107 miles on it. The guy told me it had been sitting for 3+ years.

It would not run without the choke on, I knew it was just the 3 year old gas that sort of looked like coffee. I didn't really even get to ride it

more than down this guys driveway, but I knew it was a good deal.

I got it for $2200. Took it home and cleaned a pound of rust out of the tank, then tore into the carb, it was all gummed up.

Worked on it for a few hours but, still could not get it to idle. So off it went to the local dealer.

I own 3 other bikes and have always done all my own maintenance work like brake jobs and oil changes, but I'll leave carb work to the pros.

So far, I've ordered a set of brush guards, the bigger foot pegs and some one inch bar risers.

Can't wait to get it back, (Hopefully this Monday) so I can actually ride it.

Talk to ya-all later.

Welcome aboard! I got my TW200 mainly because of this forum!

Where did you get the bigger foot rests? There have been out of stock at D2Moto for a while.

i picked mine up on ebay after a few other forum members purchased and installed them and been happy with the quality. heres a link to the ones i got, the seller has not relisted them as of yet but they stock a wide variety of MX/dualsport footpegs in their 'store' so they should get relisted soon.

there are more on ebay from different sellers but theyre asking $27 w/ free S/H.

if you want them NOW then maybe its worth just payin the extra three bucks?

edit: they have polished(painted?) silver ones for $15 with $5 s/h if you wanna spend less.

Thanks for the nice comments, I could have kept the Rokon, but frankly I was sort of bored with it.

It is the greatest thing built for bombing through the woods over logs and rocks, but getting there was real slow going.

Found the super nice black foot pegs here.

I did pay the extra couple bucks, and got them within a week.

They came with new pins and springs.

Check them out here...

I'll post a pic once I get the bike back from Dealer, they didn't have it finished today, I'll pick it up Wednesday.

When I got my larger pegs I decided the brake lever needed an upgrade too...

Cut the right stock peg in half.

Ready to use the welder.

Welded & painted.

From the top.

Final result. This really shows the difference from stock to D2Moto pegs.

The brake pedal is now the same size as the original foot peg.

These pegs look a little different than those folks were getting before, paertcularly in the area that mounts to the bike. I'm assuming you found them to be of good quality and that they mounted up without problems, yes? I can see that perhaps ordering them from this vendor in Caifornia might be worth a few extra bucks not having to wait for them to be shipped through Customes from China however.
