Welcome to the group! Congrats on your bike and hope it brings hours and hours of awesome riding. I got bored today and went off for a quick ride....three hours later, and covered in mud, I returned home for something to eat. Almost 100 km ride and it seemed like 15 minutes. Keep up on your maintenance and the bike won't let you down, lots of tips and help here. Love to see a pic of your new wheels and tales of where it takes you. Ride safe, Chris.

Hi there Smooshy. Make sure you tell us of your adventures. I havn't gone on any with miles as of late but, I've developed some technical trails arround the house. Up and down steep hills , arround rocks and trees. I think it's great practice. I tell my grandson, it's easy to go fast, see how slow you can ride.

I have a 96 Road King that is lowered and hot rodded. I am about to tear it apart and build a hotter hot rod. Only problem now is the tDub is so much fun, all I want to do is ride it instead of wrench on the hog.

Welcome to the Forum - its really a great group of folks. This is my second TW - the first was an '89 on Guam island and was a hoot! I hadn't owned a bike since and when I considered one for gas mileage as a semi-daily commuter, I really wanted another one. I had no idea this bike would remain in the Yamaha lineup for so long and garner such a devoted following. I still love the bike and ride it both on and off the road. Enjoy!
