I bought a 2007 TW200 3 days ago as my first bike from the original owner. It has 1,700 miles on it, mostly street, everything works, garage kept and shiny, and good tires. It is blue/white, no scratches whatsoever and the owner has recorded 4 oil changes which seems more than neccesary. I can't wait to ride it this weekend since I have been working and havn't been able to see it since I brought it home and put it in the garage. I got it for $1500.00 dollars with 2 helments [one is full face that matches the bike] which seemed like a pretty good deal to me. I tried to post a pic but it was too big.

I did hear a slight valve/lifter or maybe timing chain noise when he first started it. I put premium gas in it on the way home and when I put it in the garage I did not notice the noise anymore.

It might be a good idea to check with PO to see if the valves have been adjusted and or to have them checked if its not certain. You should be so lucky that premium gas will fix problems. It might in this case if you had some old gas in the tank, but normally the TW is just happy as a Picker and Grinner with the regular stuff. Arkasas is perfect TW country. Enjoy and ride safely. My 07 has 14k miles on it now... They make noise I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'd go for non-ethanol gas over premium if it's available. You might as well learn to adjust/check the valves sooner than later and do the other regular maintenance. Congrats it's a really fun and reliable bike!!

Tdub does not like any fuel over 88 octane. Slight loss of power due to too-slow flame front propagation.

Owners manual recommends oil changes every 6 months regardless of miles. If your 2007 has had 4 oil changes it is 5 or 6 short of enough.
