I am a newbie to the site and as well to TW200's. I picked up a '95 from my buddy in need of work and have started the process to return it to it's proper glory.

Let the fun begin:

So ends the rip and tear portion of the project, now I have to do the hard stuff...

You are correct, the blue bike is my wife's Ninja 250. The black one lingering in the background is my Suzuki DL650 (wee-strom)

Is that a frame repair weld on your top tube where it looks rusty?

Gonna watch this build thread.... I want to tear mine down to the frame soon, I'm ready for a color change. Does "proper glory" mean stock, or your idea of what is proper?

I'm hoping you have your own plans for what is proper! Either way, I'll be watching

Yes, unfortunately the rust spot on the frame is a weld. The previous owner had a "rough landing" at one point with the result being the forward engine mount lugs (on the crankcase)broken and the frame bent. The frame was straightened and re welded, but I'm going to have to be creative on the engine mount side.



As far as "proper goes" I plan on going mostly stock and upgrading a few components for reliability and durability. I'm not a fan of the blue frame so that is the first bit that is going to change.
