Newer speedometer fit an older TW?

I would like to replace the speedometer on my 95 TW200. It looks like the newer (2001-2012)speedometer unit with the odometer is a direct replacement. Can anyone confirm that the newer speedometers will definitely fit the older bikes without mods? Thanks

Thanks for the info. As soon as I feel rich or find a low miles newer speedo, I'll put it on.
