An in-law just returned from a business trip to the socialist worker's paradise of Cuba and he had a unique time. In short the people are wonderful but the infrastructure and government are not. Two currencies exist, one for Cubans ( CUP, or Cuban Peso) and another for tourists (CUC, or Convertible Cuban Peso = $1USD). Guess which one the Cubans want but is illegal for them to posses? For example his taxi driver ( one of whom was the nation's leading heart surgeon who moon-lighted as a taxi driver to make money) was required to immediately turn in his CUC payment for CUP credit at a national bank. CUP hoarding is illegal but common.
Anyways my relative finally got used to no working phones meaning he could never check in with the head office leaving him free to just do his sales rep work and then go to the beach. Got used to paying for things with enormous aluminum 3 peso coins too. He looks forward to returning though, feeling safer than when his business takes him to Mexico, Columbia and some of the other Latin American destinations.
Maybe we can have a socialist government too in the near future.

I'm in the "NEVER HILLARY" club. Just filled out my "vote by mail" form. I wish Mr. Trump could learn when not to take the bait, and maybe even get the hell off twitter.

There have been two Cubas for as long as I can remember – the tourist version and the real one. Two very different worlds. Even without sanctions the country will take some time to find its feet.

As for voting preferences – let’s try to keep the same subject on the same thread (please) - http://tw200forum.com/forum/off-topic/25906-who-you-voting.html - so much easier to keep an eye on …. Erm …I mean “follow” …….

If you had a gun to your head and were told to pick between Hillary and Trump, who would you vote for?

I'd let it go off

I think cuba could be a great place, I hear there are plenty of classic cars.
If voting between the 2 with a gun to my head, I'd vote Hillary..... because guns would be banned!:D

Most all of my international traveler friends agree that Cuba is one of the best travel destinations ever. Though many have reservations now with the change in relations. The feeling being that US sanctions preserved the culture, which is what made it great. Second fav? South Africa.
