I would like to announce that I got bitten (again) by the TW200 bug. Just got my second TW200, a 2009 with 2,500 miles. It complements my 2010 which I got new in July 2011 and has now just shy of 14,000 miles on it. My sister is coming to visit me from Germany and I thought how cool it would be if we could go and do some biking together. Found a nice 2009 in Mobil, Al and got it shipped to the island. It was a hustle but the guys (and girls) from Hall's Motorsport in Mobil were a great help. Spent some time on cleaning, lots of mold!!! Poor thing was a little neglected I guess. Checked battery, cleaned air filter, changed oil, oil strainer and oil filter, adjusted clutch, new spark plug etc. She runs great but need to check the light on the speedometer and the "pilot box", where the indicator, high beam and neutral control lights sit is broken, guess need to spend the over $30 and order one. Only one thing that seemed odd. The oil level control glass is "foggy" after a short run. Even after I drained the oil the window was not clear. When the oil flows on the inside of the glass it clears but when the oil settles, it gets foggy again. Any insight? Will post pictures of the bike(s) after a complete clean up.

The 2010 is red, the 2009 is blue. Almost like brother and sister!!

Foggy site glass?....possibly the previous owner didn't change the oil enough.....and it became "stained".....wouldn't think this would occur, but just a thought?.Waiting for photo's.

as you said that mold was an issue, I'm gonna say its just full of moisture. How long have you let it run? Get it good and warmed up. Keep it there for a while. Change oil again. It should clear up. May take a couple times. Also ensure vent tubes are clear. Good luck, TIM
