If anyone has or finds pictures of Old School ADV bikes post them up here for my (and possibly other's) enjoyment.

This is a picture of Dick Brown, who rode from an AFB in Alaska to an AFB in Florida.

And of course Ted Simon's Triumph.

And of course Borneo's Triumph, El Borak. (Name is from the Robert E. Howard pulp books featuring Francis Xavier Gordon, aka El Borak.)

Z, You must be a fan of the band "America". (It might seem like a hi-jack but it's Borneo's thread and I have a little more leeway, he is used to my nonsense)

Part 4 at 730 min is San Carlos MX I have logged over 100 dives there but it was 25 years later and before the Japanese over fished the area.

I still have a Hodaka Ace 100 (parts awaiting reassembly). I almost bought a 250 Combat Wombat a couple years ago. $1,400.00 in good repair. In its day that 250 was the SHIT!

I had a Honda 250 Scrambler (1965 model?) for awhile but I found it too heavy for the kind of trails I rode.

Thanx for the link to the Steve McQueen article. I bet I read it in '66 when it came out. I had a subscription to PopSci.
