Stuck on the side of the road, bike started to bog down so i pulled to the side of the road. The 87tw will stars and idle like a champ but when the smallest amount of throtle is given the bike dies. Took off the air filter and still the same problem. I can hear a hissing sound through the air filter hole when the bike dies

Well I took off the Carb bowl and everything looked very clean no buildup on the pilot or the main, moved some electrical around I see one wire that comes out of the harness under the gas tank and connects to the white round thing, this wire is fried but still connected by 1/2 the strands, put some tape on it. When i put the bike back together it cranked right up and revved great. I put my helmet on stepped on the bike, put it in gear and nothing. Pt the kickstand back down and no revving. Finally she came back to life and has worked well enough to take me to a hotel. On the way (40 miles) the bike cut off on me twice with the same problem. This problem is not consistent. So I'm guessing electrical, the Carb is only three months old and has 3000 miles on it. When i took the bowl off everything looks great and extremely clean. The problem seems to be just in the low rpm range, if i can get going down the road and keep the rpms up there is no problem but when i stop at a light or something sometimes the bike will try and stall out. Will fix the wire tonight and clean the Carb real good.

Just some more thoughts,

It seems when the bike is leaning to the left side it is prone to rev and when i lean the bike upright the problem comes back.
