So I was getting on my 2004 tw wed at the post office and a guy came up to me and asked if I might be intrested in a couple more tw,s.

Today I went to look at and test ride them. 1st bike 1995 825 miles clean and streight everything works, runs ok but I can tell the carb needs cleaned. 2nd bike 2002 1101 miles condition same as the first and both have clear titles. So I ask how much and he says $650 each or $1200 for the pair. Composing myself I looked at the bikes closely for about as long as I could (30 seconds mabey) and then said I thought that was a fair price

Easily 2x profit on what you payed assuming no major work is needed. Maybe even 2.5-3x if you're lucky!

Shit happens and indeed good stuff does too. The good luck presents a problem now - what do you do with three motorcycles. Certainly loaning to your friends so they can beat them up at your expense is no bargain. Yes selling them for a bit of a profit would be good to finance some bling for your ride, but in the end its the fun of scoring a bargain and turning it into a positive (something you still have to do despite all the kudos you are receiving here from your buddies). Let me know when someone here knowingly offers you twice what you paid for these bikes, even though thats what they may be worth. Enjoy your good luck, but don't let it ruin your day. One of them was free and the other you have to sell to break even. Tom

You could set one up for ADV riding (Racks Packs and all) another you could Cafe' it out for short commuting errends to the local Coffee shop and the other for a battery killer (just kidding) parts bike, reference bike.

Whatever you do "Congradulations !" I hope you get some fun out of all three!
