Three of us guys (2 TW200's and a DRZ400) headed out late Saturday night for an overnight camping adventure on top of Monument Peak, in the Oregon Cascades, near Mill City.

It was a comfortable 2 hour+ ride until the last mile up the mountain. It was down right NASTY. No pics to prove cause there's no way to stop and gets pics. My cousin on the DRZ may have had his GoPro head cam going so I'll have to check with him. Anyway, waking up at 4590 feet elevation with an amazing view from your tent is just awesome. We explored our way outta there this morning, headed back to civilization...

Always enjoy your ride picture's. You pick some really nice places to ride. I love waking up in the morning on some mountain somewhere. Guess waking up on a beach would be cool too, just don't live near enough to the ocean. I shant complain though. I'd like to ride around Crater Lake on the TW someday, and your photo's always remind me of that. Thanks for sharing!

It was a fun trip. That hill climb was rough, going down was much easier. Daylight, having some sleep, and having eaten probably help too.

I only got a few pics.

The bikes, don't mind that pesky DRZ 400
.

Another view from the top.

Don't roll over while you are asleep you might fall off the edge!

Thanks for that Bagwell. This is the sort of job I aim to point my TW at once I get her a license for the pavement. There are some pretty good runs up mountains here so will figure the steps on putting pics here and reciprocate at some point.

Wow, that was a great tour. Hopefully your cousin had his GoPro on, if he did please post that. Sounds gnarly. Thanks for posting pictures

Thanks everyone...

Unfortunately, my cousin didn't get video or pics of the nasty trail to the top. However, he did have the GoPro set to take a pic every 30 seconds and there are a bunch of the pics posted on our local 4wheel drive website. Feel free to check it out. Here's the link:

Some great night shots and stuff too!

Here's an example of the other pics...
