One of my favorite magazines is Motorcycle Consumer News, no advertising.

In the January 2012 issue they posted a 6-page performance listing of bikes they've reviewed by category.

Below is the condensed version, showing only "Lightweight Dual-Sports" and "Middleweight Dual-Sports."

I highlighted the Yamaha TW200 for easy reference. Enjoy!

Wow that's awesome! I need to guy buy a subscription to MCN! I've watched a number of their YouTube videos and always liked them.

I'm very interested in this type of information, and it's really nice how it's all laid out in a chart like that - fantastic!

I do have a couple issues with the data, particularly the claim that the DR200 takes 18 seconds to do zero to sixty. I'm pretty damn sure it's more like 12 seconds... The chart also claims that the DR200 will do zero to 100 in 13 seconds lol. I guarantee you the DR200 will NOT do 100 mph. I'm thinking that the 13 seconds they put in the 0-100 column for the DR200 is supposed to be in the zero to sixty column. And the 18 seconds listed for 0-60 must be the quarter mile time, although that seems a little faster than I'd think for that bike. That makes sense to me though, based on my personal experiences with the TW200 and DR200 - having owned both bikes. I've ridden both extensively and drag raced them against each other. Based on my seat time experiences with those two bikes, and the results of my drag races, I think the data adds up. It's just stuck into the wrong columns on the chart lol.

Also the top speeds they have listed seem to be a little low. I have personally had my DR200 to an indicated 85 mph (at least 80 on a flat) on numerous occasions, and I really don't think it's off by 13.5 mph. Plus I'm 98 percent sure the DR650 will go faster than 95 mph (like 115, if memory serves!). Other than these apparent discrepancies, the other data in the chart pretty much seems accurate. I really like how they have actual dyno-tested rear wheel horsepower numbers. That's pretty sweet. Also, according to their chart, my Ninja 500 accelerates faster than an F800GS (3.76 second 0-60). That's pretty cool lol.

Thanks very much for posting this. I don't suppose by chance you could post the rest of the charts? That would be pretty damn sweet!

Also, there are two MCNs.

Motorcycle Consumer News: USA based magazine which doesn't accept any advertising (HERE).

Motorcycle News: An entertaining British magazine (HERE) which posts a lot of videos.

I've had my TW at 75 mph and wasn't at the top of the rpm either, I know it could have done 80 or higher

and 14 seconds for the 0-60? no way, I'm going to time myself on the next warm day, I'm predicting around 9 seconds

all stock 2013, btw
