This picture has a story. My friend and i went to Silverton Colorado to ride the Alpine Loop trail system. I was on already on reserve while climbing the last switchback to the top of Imogene Pass 13,114 feet and my buddy was behind me about 1/4 of a mile. As i was climbing the last straight i noticed it was gettin dark very fast. I looked over and about 3 seconds later i was in a storm cloud at the top of the mountain. It rained cats and dogs then it turned to hail and lighting. I waited just over the top for my friend at least 30 minutes and he never showed so i rode back down to the next turn and i couldnt see anything and it was 8 miles to town the other way so i decided i better go get gas before i get stuck on a mountain top with no gas. I rode down to telluride and filled up my bike and i was soaking wet and freezing! So i got a hot chocolate and decided its time to go fetch my friend. As i was walking out my phone rang and it was my friend. He left his bike at the top and hitched a ride with the last jeep coming over the mountain. The jeep guy brought him to the gas station so i tried to get him to go back up but i forgot hes one of those guys who is paranoid of storms and goes in his basement if its going to storm. He was so petrified on the mountain when the clouds hit he locked up and couldnt ride anymore. So we got a bed and breakfast in Telluride for the night. It was the only place that had a room. They were very nice and let us use their washer and dryer because our clothes were soaked. The lady who owned the hotel thought we we looked hilarious "********" together on the tw "im 5'6" and hes about 6'2" 200lbs" so she took a picture of us and put it on the hotels facebook page. Anyways the t-dub took us both all the way to the top. I never thought it would make it but she did 13,114 feet to fetch his klr on the other side.
dig the green rainbibs and red jacket Hillbillies in a high class town!!! Picture is from late July of 2011 if that counts as recent..

I don't have a great story to go with this other than it was the first time my wife rode on the back (summer 2011) and we just cruised around camp. Yeah, I know, zero safety equipment... We just idled around in 1st/2nd gear. She loved it and has been asking for me to teach her how to ride this summer.

Hi Dubbers

The pictures is titled My Teenage Daughter's First Time. Last weekend she decided to learn to ride the bike and started off with jacket and gloves. its on a polo field at our club so pretty safe. When I got her going and my back was turned this evidence of her having stripped and found her wings was turned in.

I did not have a picture for the fall contest, but is is now fall here and she did not fall on her first ride.

BTW the broken indicators are from the older and younger boys falling. I must get some guards.

Wheres the Admiral and Georgie?????

Bag

Not an entry, Georgie on strike! Besides, I like all these others! Good luck to all. It's gonna be a hard choice when all are so deserving. But we must remember, the photo contest is just for fun.

Sometimes, you just have to walk away and call your wife :|

This is where a bit of rope and some leverage would come in handy.

Might have been back on the old server, but I remember a thread about tow ropes, come-alongs, and pulling a bike up a hill, or out of a ditch.
