I'm curious as well how it would hold up in general. Only thing I have plasti-dipped is the wheels on my truck, but to its credit has held up great after a couple years.

I used Plasti-Dip on my Suzuki Samurai front bumper and it's held up now for almost 2 years, parked outside. It's metal though, not plastic. I did mask off and Plasti-Dipped the tops of my Dodge truck's headlights. On there, it lasts 2 years, then starts to peel.

Here's a tip;
Put it on thick with lots of coats. It's much easier to remove if it's a nice thick stretchy layer compared to a thin one.

I have used camo vinyl. Works great and not affected on the tank when I get sloppy with the fuel. Holds up to brush and drops.
