CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE TO GET A GOOD PRICE ON A POWERLET AND WHERE DID YOU MOUNT IT?

Hi Moose, Welcome to the forum. You can try Burns Moto- http://burnsmoto.com/index.php I've only heard good things. Where you mount it is up to you.

When I had my BMW F650GS, I wanted one outlet for my GPS bracket, air pump and battery charger. I standardized on MSD Weather Tight Connectors. You can find them at some auto parts stores. Read my article about it with pictures here.

ya, right after you asked the question, i wondered... why didnt i buy one again? the only answer i could come up with i was going back and forth between this and a powered USB port, so all i needed to bring was a cable. decided to go with this as it seemed a compete and ready to go. hit purchase too.

Yup. Protected by the cycle rack. I use it for the Slime pump, and occasionally to charge a cell phone. Not really an on the road thing for me. The GPS is hard wired and mounted on the handlebars.
