I am a newbie to TWs having been a BMW and Bultaco guy in my youth. Now that I am in my 70s, the TW is looking about right. A local dealer said they list at $4590. What do most folks pay these days?

Thanks.....anyone looking for a nice used BMW R65 with low mileage?

Bought mine here in Mississippi back in December. It's a 2013 model and I got it for 4,250 out the door.

There is a place near Salem, Oregon that sells them for $4,000 out the door (except for registration and tags).

I've seen them advertised for as low as $3499 but the dealers still play the markup game with prep fees, destination fees etc so any dealer price is a leader price. It works great for me because the dealers piss people off and then they come buy one of my ultra low mile gems

Most of the actual receipts I've seen (from new purchases) are around $4800 total (I've seen them well above $5k too) and it hasn't changed much in 5 or 6 years

I bought #1 in 2012 for $4K out the door TT&L included. Just paid $2K for a 2006 with 1400 miles. Happy with both purchases!

Looks like the Sun Valley Parkway area near Tonopah! One of my most favorite places on earth

I always jump off the 10 and take the Sun Valley Parkway around the White Tanks to Surprise. Looks like a great place for TW's!

I live on the Big Island of Hawaii now, and motorcycles are always more here. I am thinking of getting a TW200 myself. This island has quite a lot of offroad that I will need to learn about. Originally from Wa. State Seattle/Tacoma area, where I lived form 57 years. I'\ve oewned 25 motorcycles since I was 8, many were dual sports, and I want one more.

I saw a 2009 with a surf board rack for sale in Honolulu a few months ago for $3200 and it took the guy a long time to sell it. Wish I had a place to keep a TW over there I would have bought it!



I've thought about bringing over a container load of TW's but there just isn't any "cheap" way to get a motor vehicle over there to make it worthwhile



I would love to ride a TW around the Big Island I can only imagine the great places there
