Hi All,
Having an issue with the left turn signal on my 2009 TDub. When activating the left turn signal, the rear left signal light is dead, and the front left signal flashes at double speed. Checked the rear bulb and it appears fine. Also checked the main 20amp fuses, they're good to go as well. All other functions of the switch seem to operate normal. The signal cancel works for both sides, all right side turn light functions are good. Before taking apart the left handlebar switch, wanted to see if anyone has a solution other than what's previously been posted.
Thanks folks!
Mark

Hi fellow Oregonian,

This may not solve your problem but it is quick and easy to check: Verify that all your pin connections are tight where they join together behind the headlight.

I had a problem with some similarities to yours and it turned out to be a loose bullet connector where the wires meet up behind the headlight.

Good luck.

i replaced a blinker assembly and flipped a pair of bullet connectors..... my results were similar to yours. check all the connections from the origin and match color to color.

Turning signal issues.

Thanks all. The solution was the obvious, bulb was indeed dead. Even though the filaments were intact, something not right with the bulb.
Tried swapping the functional right, for the left and voila! So, if ya encounter that double-quick signal flashing, a bulb is out.
You guys are great! Like having a mechanic in the family!
