Today I received and installed a rear rack I received from the fine folks at ProCycle in Oregon. It really is just what I was looking for as a sturdy and useful rack that isn’t so big it would impede my riding. I like the way it puts the majority of the weight onto the main frame of the bike. I thought I’d share some photos.

Nice, I like it, kind of like the Cycleracks without the rear handle and side bars. But looks like you have more attachment points to hook gear which is a good thing.

While there is a soft bag side rail kit available, I didn’t want anything that big. I can easy lift the rear of the bike without noticeable deflection. If I were designing my own they would be like this but just a bit more narrow. This one is pre-setup for for a rotopack can. I doubt I’ll use one of those. A fella never knows though…
