My buddy with the 2 TW 200's had to roll today. We rode for 3 hours and did a bit of single track, two tack and river beach riding in the deepest of sand! Did a bit of paddling with the feet today, but I cleared this secton;

It looked like fun. After all these years of riding, I'm only now getting somewhat comfortable riding in "some" sand, with a stress on "getting"! Where is this river area you rode located?

Looks like you had a blast! All I have is sand in SWFL... I have stock tires that are WORN and need to be replaced. I don't understand what the fuss is about regarding not feeling comfortable in sand. I feel WAY less confident riding some of the larger grade gravel than anything else. Sand is probably like gravel in the aspect of consistency. Fluffy sand is probably nerve wracking like large gravel is to finer gravel. Any input?

This is Wisconsin. Sand is nerve racking.....but rather than steering with the handlebars, I steer with the pegs.....like surfing.
