You're leaving sooner than I thought. Ready to get to some "warmth" at least for you polar bear types?
Tired of the Snow and now the Rain.
Looking forward to riding every day and attending the RV show.

I have 187 miles so far but still need to get back to camp another 20 miles or so. Went to Oatman then Laughlin then down 95 California to 63 then over the Parker Damn then up 95 Arizona to Mudshark for food and beer.
Heated gloves from Costco worked great - temperature ranged from a low of 10C to a high of 17 C and at 70 mph the wind chill came into play,
A great first day of riding

Motorcycle, check, heated gloves, check, warmer than home temperatures, check, food and most importantly beer, check & check! :)
The TWs are ready. Heading down to the camper to start loading it up Thursday. Getting closer as we leave next week!

Weeks of snow is just too enticing for me. I'm out, not gonna make Quartzsite.
Today I skiied all day and still was skiing untracked bottomless powder with no one in site

Lake Tahoe in the distance and me back on the mountain since the whole COVID and cancer thing

Looks you were at Sierra at Tahoe ski resort? Did you have some BBQ at the top?
That is Sierra-at-Tahoe!
They either aren't open yet or aren't open on weekdays. (I have a weekday pass only)
Sky Cloud Wood Tree Leisure

I was riding a lift up with 2 ski patrollers, talking about how few guests are there this year after the fire. They said that if they can't convince the USFS to extend the season this spring, they likely won't be able to stay in business and will close next year. While it's GREAT to not have lines or worry about other skiers running into me, it would be a shame if they close doors for good. I think a lot of their base guests skied other resorts last season and realized that there are other options than a burned out mountain to ski. While the ungroomed slopes are nice, I too miss the tree skiing this year. It's sorta like the difference between riding the desert and riding the forests on a TW200. While is nice, it isn't the same and I love tree skiing and tree dirt biking.

Here's a video of me skiing in what is almost exactly the same area in the first video I posted yesterday. A stark difference:

And just because, here's a video of snorkel sking conditions, snow over the top of my head. Now you see me, now you don't! Ha!

After the year you just came out of, it is so heartening to see that your lungs are up to the task. I'm happy for you, Gerry.

I understand it would be a lot busier down there during RTR and Big Tent week but is the LTVA less crowded than Hi Jolly? I would have assumed the whole entire area around Quartzsite would be a Zoo. Hope you find a relatively quiet spot.
Had you ridden the area offroad north of Lake Havasu and if so has it just gotten worse since last time? I can't remember the member's name right off that lives by Lake Havasu but he has said how rough the roads/trails have become since SxS's started terrorizing them.
Still, I look forward to warmth and riding!

Where I am now I can see my neighbours who are over 100’+ away. I will hunt around today to see if I can find a better spot.
Hi Jolly was packed and “my spot” was taken.

I have ridden the area above Lake Havasu a few times, I just took a different route this time.
I did find a few less rutted trails and some single track, but the SxS have just made a mess.
The hills have whoops on them! and I know how much you love whoops:confused:
I even hated the sand washes. I had to get up over 40 mph to ride the tops of the mounds and that just did not feel safe with all the cross tracking.

I think the member is Fire Up.

Arizona now allows lane splitting in speed zones of 45 mph or less so getting back over the overpass is not so bad. That said 2 drivers tried to block me and 2 moved over and 1 swore at me.
I am in La Posa Tyson Wash
As you enter turn south and follow the power lines, after four dips ( Washes) the trail will spit and allow you on the west side of the power line take that road. You will see an rv flying 2 flags, the top one a 😃 go past his peninsula and follow the trail right a hard roght. There will be 2 rock stack, go through them and follow the track, there should be a white and blue RV on your left and you should see the 😃 face flags on your right. A red truck and trailer should be ahead of you off to the left and there will be a tent on the right side farther down. Follow the barely visible track as it winds its way towards Yuma road. I will be on your right (N) about 3/4 of a mile from highway 95. Confused well I almost get lost each time.
I sent you a message with my number if you want to meet somewhere
I do plan to check out the show at some point.
