Nice day today so I decided to take a quick 75 mile ride. My FJR was just sitting in the garage begging to go for a ride also needing to break in it's new front tire,it has not been out and about since December. At first heading no where in particular but ended up going to Swan Falls dam. The dam was built in 1901, being rebuilt in the 1990's. Not much for trees out this way but many miles of BLM riding. Usually when I think about getting the TW out to this area it's hot, hot and hot! Today would have been perfect it was 65 with a breeze. I'll have to make it out here and go explore on the TW.

I haven't been to Swan Falls in several years, but it's always has nice views. Not that you would want to on your FJR, but lots of fellows push their motorcycles across the dam and ride the West/South side. Some old ranch sites, geocaches and petroglyphs over there. Heard the BLM put up a fence and no motorized sign, but should be taken down in the next few weeks. Over zealous BLM employee apparently did this and they are taking it down. It's on my bucket list to ride over there, hopefully this year. Pretty sure you can get to that side from Murphy as well. Swan Falls is also a nice place for a picnic when it's not too hot. Thanks for sharing and nice to see you out and about!
