Good Morning!

I have been too excited to sleep all night, for this morning I will finally realize a dream that I have had for over 20 years. This morning, my lovely Wife, Diana, and I are off to pick up our TW's!

I have quite literally dreamed about these great bikes since I first saw one, and am finally going to have the chance to get to know a pair of them. A true pair as well, as they have sequential vin numbers, have been owned by the same owner since new (06) and have never been separated since they rolled off the line!

They are in astoundingly good condition, have less than 900 miles between them and are just sitting there looking bored and eager for an adventure!!! I can't wait to start!

So, in a couple of hours, we head off for the two hour drive to go pick up our new friends. Then it's an hour to the ranch, where we plan to head out into the far reaches and enjoy the mid 30's temps and drizzle that's forcast for today. A thermos of hot buttered rum and a couple of great cigars for a stop somewhere with a vista and shelter. I Can't Wait!!

So thank you for all the info, I look forward to sharing this new friendship with you, and yes, I know..... any thread is useless without photo's, they will come!!

Welcome to the club and our clubhouse. Hope your wallet can afford a few mods, as you will find plenty of advice on addons here. Hot buttered rum, cigars, sounds like the trip to get them is fun enough.

Well I guess the only thing better then a TW is ...two of them!! Too cool. The serial # are kinda nice too, but i would take the second bike if i was you, technically its newer then the other one so it should last longer??

Your lucky your wife rides, mine insists on being a passenger and then she back seat drives!!

"No jumping" "Stay out of the water" "I am sure this is the way home" "Didn't you see that ditch?" "Thats it....I am walking home!" ( And one day she will). Ah, just kiddin, she is great to have along and makes it all the more fun. Well, dont forget to post some pics of the new toys.

Here they are ! Just got to the Ranch.

Diana and the bikes.

Up the hill above the ranch house, maybe a mile up.

Looking on up from the last photo.

Diana, keepin' her feet dry!

Well, it was a twenty year dream and a good one! These bikes are even more fun than I had imagined!! We had a ball, blasted down dirt roads, crossed a bunch of creeks, climbed over down trees, and crossed miles and miles of rocks.

And the thing that made it even better was riding with Diana. She is such a hoot! I could hear her laughing behind me when I had to put a foot down on a creek crossing, which she made look easy. Coming home we were clipping right along down a little two tracker and came around a corner and the road was flooded for about 40 yards. Deep nasty black mud and rutted all up. D didn't bat an eyelash, just gunned it and hit that mud hole! I think that back tire

did everything but pass her but she kept it up and gained about 20 feet on me getting through there!

Got 'em back home, cleaned 'em up, dropped a couple steaks on the grill and had those hot buttered rums while we planned many many adventures on our new friends !

Thanks everyone for this great forum!!

Bagger,

Nice photos and I'm glad both of you will be able to ride. By the looks of it, you should have a photo or two of the TW's going through water. Maybe you should enter one of them in photo contest #8. That would be neat.

...And Wrench-Puller, although my wife doesn't ride the TW (when she found out it wasn't an automatic, ha ha, no really), when she is on the ATV or in her jeep wrangle and she see's water, bam right in she goes!

The twins look great! You'll have to find a way to tell them apart

EDIT: ops of course they have a different plate

Soon, when my Zombie Stomper creation is finished, folks in this small cental Washington town will for decades pass on the story of the dreaded "Tee-Dub Gang".
