As promised I will keep you updated on my rebuild. I am not a very patient person ( like: painting in winter...bad idea...;-)..) I plan to make a first ride in spring 2025. Due to the winter coming, spray painting isn,t possible. Anyway, some pictures from last week. Some said that she wasnt so bad but because I will drive only on the road ( I live in the Netherlands, we dont have any nature..:0 )
I want to make her pretty. Hope it works out.

Next thing: Powdercoat frame and parts. There is a place where I can do it myself, so problaby will do that.
And.....I have a lot of goodies coming from my friends in China ( and still have a lot of goodies from previous builds )

OK, dont know who is following but I have some updates. The engine is almost ready so i attached a picture. Furthermore it's good i did an overhaul because there where some nuts and bolts missing...And I decides to paint the frame myself because powercoating is too expensive. Also I saw there where some spokes missing from the rear wheel. I ordered a new set from Ali so hoping its a fit, couldnt find spokes anywhere else. Next step is to spraypaint with clear 2K.

Got a lot done last week, so here just 2 more pics:

For now the main color will be green. It is getting a bit too cold to spraypaint so I used a can instead. I am trying a new 28 mm carburator from Aliexpress. Dont know if it works but they are really cheap, so its worth the try.

Found a great speedo with neutral, light and cursor lights in it. Next step ? Install the exhaust and gastank and try to start first time.

So, after a long time and a lot of fiddeling I finally am ready with the wiring. Decided to make a whole new wiring loom as the previous owner had messed with it. Only...no spark..:-(. So, thats something that I have to found out. Only, my mutimeter starts at 2k Ohm. And...anyone know if I need the diode ?

Woah, good luck with that!

Your multimeter won't read single digit Ohm? Does it have "diode measure" settings? It could be used to check continuity, if that's you need.

You could omit the diode if you would some of safety features.

I'm intrigued by that hanging PCB - fuse board?

Simpy disconnecting diode would mean no running engine on sidestand, even when not in gear - you'd have to hold the clutch all the time.

Shorting the diode would make it possible to start/keep starting while in gear with sidestand up, possibly not happiest scenario for starter motor.

More scenarios to think of, depending on how you want the bike to behave.

I want to exclude all the safety switches. I think I have this covered now, but am not sure although there isn't one anymore in my wireloom.
The hanging PCB board.. Great.. :). It's a fuse box I bought at alieexpr. Just + and - in and you have 4 fused connections points with 5 Amp each.

Finally spring is here..:). So I did some spraying and a lot of other things. Wiring is done.

Some things yet to be done like carb adjustments ( installed a pwk26, not sure if thats a right size ), clutch and startermotor. Hoping to importing it ( and finally driving ) in 4 weeks.

Good luck for the project.

I hope you have better luck with the PWK as I had.
15 or 20 years ago I had a PWK28 and no luck to find a fitting setup.

Okidoki, did some spraying. I like the result. But it still wont start, so the long plan is to install a 200 cc ( chinese ) engine. Fornow, I think I will take it apart a bit and start over with the essentials... A man must have a hobby...:)

Well done my friend đź’Ş

I see, that you have the Bridgestone AX41S on the rear.
When you do your first rides, please tell me what you think about it.
