Hi, my original muffler on my TW200 started to rattle so i opened it and shaked out all rusty parts. I can tell that the mufflers inside is by far the most noice reduction construction i ever seen in my life..

I guy nearby who makes mufflers to motorcycles and hotrods welded on the orginal endcap with a new noice killer from www.simons.se

It is now sounding much more thumpy and maybe it will run to lean? Is there anybody who knows the correct jet size? Neeedle position and airscrew?

Thanks in advance!!

Not unless there is someone who has done the exact same thing to their muffler.

There may be slight tuning differences even between stock bikes.

It will be a trial and error process until you get it right.

See Qwerty's tuning guide:

I suspect that if you have already corrected the stock lean condition by going up one/two jet sizes and opening the pilot screw 2.5 turns, there shouldn't be much change.

But only testing will show you for sure.

Endo, the url you referense ends in .se so I'm guessing you are not in North America. More than likely you enjoy a proper carb tune from the factory. Modding the muffler may or may not require a carb adjustment. Next time you ride, ask your butt's opinion of your carb's state of tune, then go from there.

No, i´m from Sweden. As i said, the original muffler did have 2-3 chambers connected with really thin tubes, so i´m pretty sure it will run lean, though having street tyres and its a lot of snow outside i was thinking easy fix during snowseason, but of course, i just have to run it later. As lazy as i am, i was hoping to get a guidance:)

i would try a #130 main jet, you can get them from jetsrus.com they have oem replacement jets for the tw200. and after you drill out the air screw you could start at about 2.25 turns out. that should be a good place to start. jets are cheap so buy a few of them so you can have more options for dialing in the carb. best of luck,

I wouldn't spend any money on parts until sure parts are necessary. Ride the bike, watch for signs of improper air/fuel ratio, then correct those improprieties. If the bike runs fine, why bother fixing what isn't broken.
