Replaced the stock 126 main with 130, replaced the float and seat assembly (leaking with petcock on) and it looks like the shim mod and air/fuel plug removal was done by PO.

Buttoned everything back up. Starts and idles perfect but if I touch - I mean barely touch - the throttle it bogs and dies. I'm 2 full revolutions out on pilot circuit. Did not touch the pilot jet. Have pulled the bowl off again to make sure the new jet is all the way seated but I'm kind of scratching my head now.

What elements of the carb are suspect with those symptoms? Could the slide be binding?

Seemed to be blocked. No light through it. Blew it out then ran a strand of speaker wire through it. Tiny bit of light through the orifice now...and it won't start at all.

Time to walk away for a while.

I had trouble with mine leaking through the float and filling the crankcase. I pulled the carb and did all the checks. Still leaked, so I just turn off the gas. That is going to get old and will take the carb in someday. With only 1900 mi on it it shouldn't be giving me probs.

Well this is embarrassing. FYI it goes ABOVE the circlip. You can but it below but it will run like crap and waste an otherwise beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Bike runs great and lesson learned.
