A good test would be a ride to Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and let us know how the rim strip did.
Oh, and uh, how the Que was! Nothing tastes quite as good as vicarious barbecue.
If you run low pressures off road, 3 or 4 wraps isn't a bad idea. I've done this in the past and when it was time to change the tire found out I was almost worn through the tape to the spoke nuts. I've made a rim strip from another old inner tube before, but deflated they need to be slightly smaller than the middle section of the rim.

Has anyone installed a kickstarter on a late model TW? Have 2 2012s and would like the option. Looks to me you must replace the case cover with older model. I know my 2001 had a rubber plug you could remove and add the parts... Any guidance would be appreciated.
Ok, so just installed a #34 pilot jet in my 16 tw 200. Reason behind it was a little run on and some lean conditions I could sense. I already opened the fuel screw from 1.5 turns out to 2.5 turns out and did see some minor improvement but not enough, so that's why the #34.
Picked up a 1992 thats a great runner. All original. The front end looks like it had a minor collision, and the headlight / turn signals / headlight mount all seem a bit crooked.
The fairing looks to be in good shape.
Is there a fairing stay? Or is that all built into the headlight rim?
I bought a new wiring harness so i could hook up a ignition switch on a Tw i bought about almost a year ago! but i have trouble on finding which connector goes to which! i have a picture, does this look correct? On an OEM ignition cylinder the connector is red and this is the only connector...
