Took a demo ride on the new Royal Enfield Bullet. Talk about nostalgia - took me back fifty years. Very solid bike, now with fuel injection and hydraulic lifters, and electric starting. The ride is superb with the long stroke 500cc engine and wonderful traction going thump-thump-thump. Not a speedster, just a comfortable fun ride. Never owned an Enfield, but had several Matchless's - Velocette's - and BSA singles -- Those of you who have never experienced the fun of an old British single should try one. Scotsman

Yea I just saw one on the road for the first time last week... a red one. My wife who was in the passenger seat even said "damn, what is that?!" You should get one Scotsman and post some pics.

Edit: Sorry I looked it up and the bike we saw was the Continental GT and yes it pretty sweet. Googled the bullet and yes i like them too but the GT is seriously bad ass.

I also rode the continental. I am much too old for that style of bike. When I was road racing in my younger days it would have been the choice --alas it was fun but uncomfortable. Nice power delivery though, very stable and tractable.--- Scotsman
