Interesting, but at 2990 lbs, why not buy a used TJ or JK?
My Kawasaki Mule FX weighs 1600lbs, and it is just too big for some of the trails on my place, But the thing is a workhorse for sure.
I do not know anything about a Roxor...but of course that doesn't stop me from commenting.
If you take the top, the rear seat and the spare off a TJ it will get very close to the 3000-pound limit for unassisted braked towing behind a motorhome...
When the side by side's came out....the Forest Service I know.... decided they would not build another trail system for them but now many States allow street legal side by sides on public roads and so there are plenty of opportunities on and off roads to use them....
I have a Honda with Tatou snow tracks on it and it is great fun . I have never put the tires on it....it is an over snow only vehicle and perfect for what I want to do.... light, dependable and a local dealer...to service and repair it. It has a winch and a snowplow to clear the snow from access road and parking area. I have never been stuck in it...
Now, I am not into diesel unless I need the torque to move 15k pounds or more......but I am into convenience and Jeeps...a modern Jeep has all the all the current safety features on it, and it has air and heat, and it can be driven at highway speeds on public roads anywhere in North America......AND it can be flat towed behind a motorhome.....and most important to me is that there are about 2500 Jeep Dealers in the USA that can service and repair it..
A new Jeep will depreciate slower than most vehicles but at some point.... probably because of inflation....it will actually appreciate. The Jeeps I have sold over the last 60 years are now valued at multiples of what I paid or sold them for...
You can sell an adult driven unmolested Jeep for a premium on Craig's List in a weekend.....
Ironically, Enzo Ferrari called the Jeep, America's sports car and now they are owned by the same company that owns Ferrari...
