I am looking for info where to get saddle bags. Only needed to make occasional runs to the grocery store etc. My backpack is not big enough. Any recommendations?[/quote]

if you have a rear rack , you might look into a gear bag for it. I really enjoy the rack idea and the tank bag.. Especially for the grocery runs. If you have a cycle parts place , (Cyclegear, etc.} look at the Bilt line. It is a cost effective solution to many a gear question. Find what you like , then intranet shop for it.

Larry - Do you need side bag supports to keep them out of the wheels without something like the Cyclerack supports? How/Where did you mount them? Have any pics?

I'll round up some pics when I mount them back up.

Basically they are very short and it has never been a problem. I pull the straps very tight and that seems to pull the tops of the bags in while pushing the bottoms out away from the tire. I have a cycle rack and have tossed around the idea of making some bag supports but never have needed it. I forgot to mention that I have a tool tube on one side and that keeps it in place there.

I'll get some pictures asap and post them. I never figured they would go back down to $50 again.

Low &Slow is right. Nothing beats the Dirtbagz overall, IMO. Still, at $50. the Bilt bags are a bargain. Dirtbagz cost over $200. with the mounts. Nothing wrong with going cheap so long as your expectations are not unrealistic.

I finally got the "Bilt" bags yesterday but have a terrible time to mount them. I have the stock rack on my TW, any advise on how to attach? The manual included is a joke, and a bad one!!
