Welcome to the club you say!

I picked up my 1999 TW200 last night.

The guy I bought it off built it up a few years ago, then it seems he had a couple kids..

Hence the bike was neglected and is a bit rough around the edges, but it'll do me!

The clutch and brakes? let's say they just need some attention.

(I took the front guard off.)

My frame number on the headstock reads: 2JL-067564

& Engine Number: 2JL-065397

Make sense to anybody? What years are those?

Will keep yall updated with photos as things happen!

G'day mate, where abouts in NZ are you? There's not too many of these TW here. I'm in the process of doing mine up as well, with extended swing arm, battery less etc.

Good luck

Im in Auckland, yeah I was quick to grab mine when I saw it for sale, I have always liked the look of them but there are never many around. Where are you in NZ?

Nice bike!

What bars did you use for the replacement. I also picked up a used bike and want to swap out the old bars.

I can't believe how nice the seat turned out after painting has it held up?

(Mini-hijack)I noticed some rust on the front top of the swingarm, I have the same thing. I was thinking a bit of battery dribble? OM

Water likes to collect there on all the tw's. The metal is kinda rough there on mine so I have to dab it instead of just wiping it off.

@Nerk - Bars were just some cheap motocross ones.

The seat has held up fine, that stuff is the goods! (Just painted Dads Lazyboy last night with it too).

@Omega Man - I have a cell battery under the seat, so that swingarm rust is just from water sitting there, the bike leans over that way when on it's stand, and it makes for a neat little mosquito swimming pool.
