I am going to start a new thread for this bike.
This bike is amazing. I tried to take it easy, but it just went over anything I came across.
My friend rides a KTM 300 XCW and he was amazed at how easy the Scorpa made the trail look and when he rode it, well he said it not only looked easier, but was way easier on the Scorpa than his KTM.
We took a few videos which I will upload when I get a chance along with some pictures.
For Fred and Admiral think of that trail in Fred’s “back yard” where Fred just barely made it to the top and then my DT just made it. I then barely got Scoob up. Well this bike would have flowed up there without missing a beat.
I need to get to Moab with this thing. I think I could ride up the water fall on the golden spike trail.
For any of you finding the TW a handful, well this bike takes the nastiest terrain you can through at it and makes it a joy to go over.
I started looking for harder lines and little ledges to ride along. At one point I went up on a ledge and I could here my friend, Adam laughing as he is trying to follow me and crashes.

I got a flat front tire, but did not notice it until we stopped to head down a FSR.
Adam went back to get his vehicle at my place to take the Scorpa home. It was late and faster to ferry the bike back than try to fix it trail side.

bike gained a bit of weight, trails were muddy.
I need to get a better mirror. The ones that came with the bike are cheap.
I will put a ram mount and a double take mirror on.

I will let you ride it and you will feel like an expert rider.
If you got it for Mrs. Admiral, she would no longer need you to get her through those tough sections and she could come ride the trifecta in Moab. But a few egos could get damaged when the group is pondering the best way and she just rolls past and goes up and over.

Sherco X-Ride is almost the identical bike.
Suspension is different. I got the Sherco manual for my bike. The motor is the Sherco 290 aka 272cc.

Got another flat front . Yesterday the valve stem had been pulled, splitting the tube.
Put a heavy duty tube in this morning so I will check tomorrow to see what caused it to fail.
I will need to get a rim lock or I may go with a tublis system.

Look up either Scorpa T-Ride or Sherco X-Ride, basically the same bike.
My friend likes my bike for the hard stuff at McNutt over his KTM 300.
His will do it, but it just takes a bit more energy and finesse.
If and when we have another TW get together, I will let anyone who want to try it a ride.
So far, I know Kris will take it for a spin and of course Fred and Jeff and Mike ...

Today was a rest day, my quads are on fire.
Washed bike - It had again gained a few pounds.
Went to the local motorcycle shop and got a rim lock for the front wheel, a slime patch kit and a new tube. I got distracted talking to the parts guy so ended up buying the wrong tube. Rear instead of front.
I bought the patch kit to try to see if a torn valve stem could be repaired.

I Drilled a hole in the patch and used rubber cement on tear and patch and it held. Also tighten nut and washer down on the heavy duty tube. Tomorrow I will see if it holds. Test ride around back yard was a success.
Drilled hole in Rim for rim lock, Damn this front rim is heavy duty. On the DT and WR, it took no time drilling through. This rim is at least 1/4” thick.
Added spacers to the fender mount as the fender was rubbing when I dropped the forks down as far as they would go.

Also peeled off the graphics around the light cowling as it was starting to separate.

just clears now.

took the seat strap off and repurposed it for a grab loop.

I took off the magneto cover to check for water (another owner told me he had issues with his). Mine was dry so cleaned up seal, re greased and installed.
also went around bike checking fasteners, I have found a few loose ones.
Mixed up some more fuel, 100 mL per 10 L. Topped up tank and I am set for tomorrow’s adventure.

Again video does not do this justice. I have done it on the DT200 and the TW with a Duro rear tire , 1st gear and high rpms.

I can only do this in first gear on the DT200. In second I bog out just as the front tire gets over the root. That was 3rd on the Scorpa, I had to throttle off just before the root as I could feel the front getting lite. Adam did it in 4th on the Scorpa.

On the last ride, I did get to test the hand guards. I was playing around with what gear works in different terrain and ended up stalling her in 4th. Of course there happens to be no footing on the right side and that is the way I lean and slowly fall over. Got to love slow motion falls if you are going to fall.
Added a double take mirror and adjusted the front and rear brakes and the HYDRAULIC clutch (I wish my other bike had this, index finger pull).

Went out today. Rode some nasty stuff in the rain and thought I would try some moto pants that tuck into the boots. Try not to laugh to hard, they are from the 90’s and did work.

This bike makes everything easy.

I had similar fox pants in the 90s but there is no way my waist is fitting into them if I still had them. Well done.

Rainy Day so time for some Modifications.
The Scorpa does not have a battery so to use my Zumo GPS I needed to mount one.

I created a holder out of an old MC license plate and added some foam.

Front view. I zip tied the battery holder to the front shroud. I am using my BESTEK emergency starter battery.

To mount the GPS, I drilled and tapped the hand guard and added the ram mount.

GPS Map62 mounted.

I have choices for GPS or none, depending on the type of riding I plan to do.
