Perhaps the plunger is still inside the carb?
It could be,you should easily see it because the housing isn't deep.If it's missing you could try a Yamaha dealer or a small independent parts place, either should be able to order the part.

They should be able to,the worst thing is you may have to buy the whole cable.
Did you know Yamaha no longer make the throttle cable for your bike? Fortunately a company called Slinky Glide do.Their agent in the UK is www.wemoto.com I got a replacement from there.

Yes. I noticed when i was searching on the internet that the cable is no longer available. I don't like shopping in a official Yamaha shop. The parts here in Belgium are £££ high! So i prefer searching and ordering on the internet for a fair price.

They're expensive here too.Slinky Glide might have an agent closer to you,if not I'm sure Wemoto will send you what you need.

Wemoto should be able to help you.Remember that the bikes on here are 200cc,if you fit an after market carb it will need jetting.I fitted a Mikuni VM 24 512 to mine and the pilot jet is still too big, they only go down to 10.

Hello,
On the carburettor of the TW 125 (1 ° version) it is possible to install the starter of the XT125 N° Parts: 15A-14371-00..
This part costs more than a used carburetor, and we do not find many in Europe...

Into the search of nummer 19. This is the carb form a 1999 TW 125 (first generation, so with the Yamaha Teikei YP24P carb).

And here visible as nummer 1 - underneath - right:

Tricky – there are a couple of solutions that might work on the USA site (P&P 50GBP), but only a complete carb on the UK site (50GBP)

The XT125 part mentioned above is widely available (new) – for about 50GBP

A Chinese knock off works out about the same …..
