very nice collector, I'm sure first production year TW200s are rare.

Yeh, only ever seen one on ebay couple yrs ago..tried puting small vid of start up bu saying too large.its only about 15 seconds ?

Says 88 0n v5 , imported from japan i beleive 99 as has no pipe on tail pipe.

Likely late '87 first registered in '88 - there's bound to be some cross over

None of the JDM's have that tail on the exhaust - that's just for the Americans .....

That's an American 1987 with a JDM exhaust.

Nope - JDM all the way

The JDM and American graphics ran in parallel for the first year (at least) - the exhaust has the pigtail for American, and without for JDM - yours does not have the pigtail, so it's likely JDM

The above link posted refers to the Jap nutcase who liked the cold - and while that bike was modified to heck and back, it retains the same colour frame and tank graphics

I find it quite unlikely that he stopped off on the way to the pole in America to swap out the frame and tank for the American colours, but hey - whatever floats your boat - it's a moot point at the end of the day ......
