I took on another adventure over the weekend. I promised myself after the last trail ride my friend Jeremy said "won't be that bad" that I wouldn't do another one. I stuck to forest service roads, but the single track bug bit me again. We decided to ride up the Shingle Mill Trail.

This trail is rated for motorcycles, horses, mtn bikes and hiking. It's got some really steep, rocky and loose areas, but some nice single track. Here are some shots from our ride.

What a beautiful day. I'm pretty sore from wrestling the bike around on the rough terrain. I'm just glad it was a TW and not something bigger.

If you'd like to see the route, you can search on Google Earth for "shingle mill peak." If you look a the terraces on the west side of the mountain, you can see the faint diagonal line (trail) rising up to the ridge on the north end of the mountain.
The trail begins at 40* 16' 08.50" N and 111* 34; 44.72" W, if you want to look it up.
