Good is a relative term. Gearing that's right for me might suck for someone else.

We need to know........

Are you using stock tires?

Where do you ride and what type of terrain do you encounter? (Streets, hills, dirt, single track, city, country)

How fast do you need the bike to go?

Stock 14/50

14/47 +6.4% Speed Increase & -6.4% Torque Decrease

15/50 +7.1% Speed Increase & -7.1% Torque Decrease

What state are you in? If your up in the mountains or riding in deep sand id stick with the stock setup. Im in indiana and running a 14/47 which is about the same as 15/50 and i like it a better on the road. The bike did make it over 13,000' mountains in colorado with 14/47 and stock jetting. I can still climb some big hills with this gearing. Ive only had it about poo out on me "power wise" on a hill that was really long and about steep enough to flip without having alot of momentum anyway. For me this is a better overall ratio but im 150lb guy riding at lower elevation most of the time but it has taken my wife and everywhere we have wanted to go. Its not that hard to change the front sprocket if you dont like it. It all depends on what you want and what type of riding you are doing. Good luck.

Taller sprocket ratio won't have much effect on top speed. Stock TWs won't pull redline with stock sprockets, anyway. There are other valid reasons for swapping to a taller ratio, but top speed isn't one of them.
