"What one man gets for free...another man had to pay for".
Yes and we're living that "dream" in Africa where the "socialists"(commies) came into power, just look at Zimbabwe, it was the country in the world with the highest literacy rate a few years back. Meanwhile the populous were indoctrinated into believing the govt must supply everything while calling it education. What did that help the county, SQUAT! Mugabe and his elite became more power hungry and paranoid oppressing the populous and killing any political rivals.

By the way in the 1930's the social dems came to power in Germany, and how did that work out for everyone?

Butch – you used to be Ok – TW related replies, you were a valued member of this community

But in recent years, now all we get from you is political comment, which seems to be an attempt to wind people up. I mean, yeah, I get it, two sides to a story etc – but it’s easy to stick a link up to support anything

For instance if you search for “My Little Pony is the Anti-Christ” - My Little Pony - Friendship is Satanic ~ by Shelley the Republican - Democratic Underground or even worse How My Little Pony destroyed my daughter's marriage. - The Landover Baptist Church Forum

What does any of this prove ? – that there are barking mad people in this world ? – or that it’s easy to support your opinion by posting links that say the same thing ?

Having a personal opinion is all well and good, but when you start posting links up that no-one is ever going to look at (there is simply not enough time in the world) – link after link after link after link …….

People tire of it and tend to wander off – people that had a lot of good advice to share on the TW, while you post more “links”

What happened to you ?

When did you feel you needed the support of all these links to express yourself ? – one or two I could understand, but these days, is posting another link all you have to say ?

Maybe Admiral's painting shows the right idea.
Perhaps we should all just go riding and find that that happy little single track whether real or imaginary...or whatever activity we do with these motorcycles that brings us joy and satisfaction in life.
Let the politicians rant on and enlist their minions in their ongoing struggle for the four "P"s of Power, Profit, Pleasure & Prestige.
Let's go riding!

That's the thing Fred. In the past we had leaders "polticians, teachers, law enforcement leaders etc." who didn't dare challenge the validity of our constitution. As such when things got as squirrely as they are today we could grab our bikes and just disappear for awhile to recharge our batteries a bit.

We no longer live in those times! Take a ride for too long in today's age you wind up ceding ground to dictators. Personally I have always found solace in the fact that I could freely speak my mind "1st amendment" and protect my family, friends and property "2nd amendment".

Internally I just knew that my ability to voice my opinions would return when my desire to do so returned. I no longer feel secure in my beliefs that we as a nation hold these principals dear to our existence. Treacherous times to take a break....

...meanwhile with a little encouragement from the media who wants an unhappy electorate ready for change our economy is tanking from Corona virus panic.
US deaths toll from the virus is 22 this morning yet influenza death toll in US so far this year is over 18,000, as are automobile related deaths.
How come we are not being told to panic about the flu, nor are being told to fear our automobiles and stay at least 6 feet away from them? ...or avoid concentrations of automobiles?
Somehow we are complacent with these known existing risks yet are accepting news to panic as valid concerns.
I know some Democratic panic leaders are predicting death tolls as high as 20% yet evidence indicates global mortality rates from the virus between 0.1% and 1%.
