this is on my 2009. i assume this is the stock ehaust. it has a yamaha part number on it. but what about thw tip? i havent seen a picture of one like this. so is this stock? sounds very nice.

Someone has opened yours up, looks like the spark arrestor has been removed



Don't get caught riding off paved roads on public lands without a arrestor. Or a pipe louder then 96db i think it is... http://www.r5.fs.fed...karrester.shtml



I went with a fmf with quiet core exhaust and it cost me about 5-7 mph at wide open throttle..

I thought as much..... So what gains or losses can be had performance wise from doing this? And who makes this part? asi wouldnt mind having it on my other tdub as well.

If the TW has not been rejetted, you may be very lean depening on your altitude. You may have more pep and better throttle response, but it will at the expense of engine reliability.

it had a 126 main, just swapped out to 130 main and 2 shims. Im pretty much at sea level along the gulf coast.im going to see if the tip has a part number on it anywhere.



Seems the crhome tip is just that, a tip. Appears as ststed above that spark aresster has been removed.
