If (and its a big one) I can get some time off I'm going to spend a couple of days in the area of Stone Mountain. Are there places to ride the Dub with out having to travel on major highways? I know there are some trails in the park but poaching them on the Dub or Triple-B is asking for trouble!

I've always wanted to tackle stone mountain on a bike but I'm pretty sure they don't even allow bicycles on the trail up. As for roads around the area, I'm pretty sure you can get there on the older highways. It's an over 200 year old attraction so surely there's an old way there.

X, can't help you with the area motorbike riding, but your mention of Stone Mountain brought back childhood memories.

Before Stone Mountain became a theme park, my mother used to take the kids (me and my sister) to picnic at the top of Stone Mountain. I remember it being quite a hike up the backside of the mountain.

I am surprised, but you can still hike to the top.

Enjoy your trip.
