I'm rather embarrassed to ask this question but I guess its less embarrassing than having my wheel catch on fire or fall off.

I'm installing an All Balls rear axle bearing and seal kit. On the brake side it gets one bearing and no seals then on the sprocket side it gets 2 bearings, then the "manual" (read vague suggestion literature) says oil seal on the inside and dust seal on the outside. Well which ones the oil seal? The smaller OD one or the larger OD one? The smaller fits nicely in next to the bearing but then the larger one doesnt seem large enough to "lip" over the hub.

Thats odd because the tw200 manual says theres an oil seal and a separate dust seal. Also the front All Balls kit lists a ton of bikes it fits whereas the rear kit only lists the TW200.

I hear ya. I was concerned I did something wrong when I did mine, but that large seal physically won't fit. I think the dust seal is on the spacer.

I can confirm part of this, but I'm glad this thread came up. I've got an All Balls rear wheel bearing set sitting on the stand here in the shed, and it has 3 bearings and 2 seals. The funny thing is: if it fits another bike, the paper insert included in the packaging only lists the TW200 (87-13). I was waiting on my swing arm bearing kit to arrive to tear the rear apart and install these, but procycle's having a hard time getting the swing arm kit, so they shipped my order without it.

Paul from All Balls emailed me back and said our rear wheel #22-51227 kit is indeed for multiple bikes. Therefore we only need to use the oil seal #3102-2531100 or All Balls #30-4008 on the rear axle. Hope this helps.

Excellent. Thank you very much for taking the time to find this out. Much appreciated.

Now I know mine is done right and I don't have to go out and fix it!

Glad somebody else ran into this and created a post. I thought I got the wrong dust seal (part #31) in my kit. I didn't have any extra parts in my All Balls swingarm kit.

Thanks
