I got out and rode southwest of my place to the Black river area, I was amazed that 40 miles west and I'm in some rugged mountains and 40 miles east I could be in a black water swamp. I'm a hillbilly and have a hard time walking on flat ground, but this place was pretty cool and I'll go back when I can.

I hope you took your fishing pole, there's gotta be some big ones in there!

Looks like a cool place to visit, nice that it's so close by.

Very nice! I didn't know ya'll had cypress trees anywhere north of the very southern part of Arkansas. You're in the northern part of the state, in the Ozarks, right?

Yeah, I'm 18 miles south of the Missouri line, that cypress is pretty far north for sure.

I saw a few turtles and a lot of water birds. I was watching for snakes more than anything, Canebreak Rattlesnakes get huge in that area.

Nice photo's. Really look neat r80t. Reminds me of a movie scene from the movie "Southern Comfort" I think?

Southern Comfort is one of my favorite movies, Ry Cooder played some good swamp blues on the soundtrack,
