my '09 is set up with street tires. I thought about getting another set of rims with dirt knobbies. The idea is to swap the two when ever i ride more dirt. Like next week i want to go ride some logging roads. I know my street tires should be ok, but the few times ive had them off road i didnt lke how they performed. So is swapping back and forth a bd idea, especially on the chain and sprockets?

I think a spare rear wheel with one of the agressive atv tires on it would be sweet, then run something like a shinko 244 all the time in the front and just switch

out the rear, but everyones different.

I would say buy a separate sprocket as well, or look into the dual sprocket mod that's been done. This way, you can have street and dirt gearing as well. If you do this, remember to keep some master links, spare chain, and the chain tool around.

Changing wheels with discs is a little harder to do with speed I would think, but I've never been in a rush to do it. Just make sure brakes are working well before you haul off.
