I was running mobil 1 out of the bike for the last 6K miles or so.

I just replaced the cylinder gaskets and put in a new piston/rings while I was at it.

I've put about 500 break in miles so far.

How long (miles) should I wait to return to using synthetic oil again?

Oh yeah, I honed the cylinder and used stock sized piston/ring set.

Thanks, I tried the search and couldn't get it to work on any oil searches.

500 miles after a rering is broken in. Go ahead and put the synthetic in. Worst it could do is take longer for the rings to break in completely. Meanwhile, everything else enjoys the benefits of synthetic oil. Enjoy.
