Hey does anyone know if it's possible to fit a Tachometer from a Yamaha older XT to a TW?

Here are some questions:

-Where does the XT tech connect to?

-Can the same be done on the TW?

I personally think it would just "look cool" to have a tach that has the same shape and look as the stock speedometer, as if the TW came from the factory with the tach.

I'm sure someone has looked this already? I know the efforts would be more for the cosmetic reasons rather than pure function, as it's prob a whole lot easier just to install a nice new Vapor.......

Ok looks like it's gonna be really hard to make that happen.

The XT case has spot for a screw like connection to the Tach cable....

I can't seem to figure where this connects to, is it the starter gearing or oil pump gearing?

Bummer, I would love to have this tach, just because of it's looks, but seems like the amount of work to make this happen just wouldn't be worth it.

Any idea's anyone?
