I'm looking to get a few new tank bags. One for me, one for the Mrs...



I have a small "Firstgear - Mini Tank Bag." It attaches fine, is about the right size, but it does not account for the tank slope angle... so half the time some of my stuff will fall out of it if openned while attached.



What tank bag do you use on your TW?



Strap on? or Magnetic? Volume/Capacity?

I use the Sterns tankbags from WalMart. They don't do too bad. They have velcro that you can stick on your tank, but I didn't want to do that, so what I did was I sewed on some strong magnets behind the soft side of the velcro and they stay on my tank just fine. Did a 200-mile round trip with them and I had no problems with them. I don't use them often, but they come in handy when needed.



You can see them in this picture I took last Spring before I started on my 200-mile trip:

I used my old Motopak GT-27 when I had the stock steel tank. It's big, 20L expandable to 27, but worked well. Magnetic so easy on/off. It's a little beat up looking as it survived me totaling my Vstrom but got smashed up some in the process. Doesn't account for the angle though either.

I got the a smaller strap type motopak for the XT225 plastic Clarke tank, but that does not strap well so looking at a Wolfman.

Works quite well. i have one on my TW and new to me (old) Suzuki SP200 dual sport. Has worked well with my DR650, DR350 and other dual sports. May be the best out there for a smaller tank bag.

I picked up a OGIO tank bag & a OGIO tail bag today.



If they work out okay for me I'll get another set for my wife's TW.
