Has anyone done the Trans America Trail on a Tw ?? I find this to be a very interesting ride after reading a few ride reports ,but will the Tw be enough bike for some of the bad stuff in Mississippi and Ark ?

See the USA on your, uh, T dub -aray
I have to agree, the TW is perfect for seeing the country on dirt roads and trails, and even slow paced 2 lane slab. Beautiful picts, and I am envious admire you for having done 1,000 miles of the TAT on your TW. Were you doing a river crossing in that picture, or just playing? I hope to do the TAT someday, and about a dozen other trails, too! Thanks for sharing!

The river crossing was just us playing. It was a river in Tennessee, along the TAT, while we were admiring the view i noticed it lookd pretty shallow and could not resist. I am doing the trail in stages, along with a fellow forum member, all on the TW. So far, nothing the mighty TW's can't handel. We are currently at the base of the Rockies hoping to make it to Moab for the next leg.

As far as i can tell, theres not one person who has done the entire TAT in one shot on a tw200, and i mean like dip tire in ocean on Cape Cod and then again in Oregon or California. Or visa versa, sure some have done part, or most but not one has done it all continuously. I must admit this idea is beginning to gain momentum in my mind and i may very well attempt it this year

Hey Kelly -
How are you guys getting the bikes to and back from the segments?
I've wanted to do that for a long time!

We are thinking about the TW for the TAT. Have you seen anyone complete it on a TW since this post?
